Does it stop rats and large birds?
Yes. The spring-loaded ports close under rats and corvids and an internal seed shield stops spills, so seed stays in the feeder instead of dropping to attract vermin.
What food does it take, and is seed included?
This Mega version takes mixed seed and sunflower hearts; a separate Mega version is available for peanuts, mealworms and suet pellets. Seed is not included.
Where should I hang it?
Hang it at least 45 cm (18 inches) from walls, fences and branches squirrels could jump from, for the best squirrel-proof performance.
How do I clean it?
It comes apart with no tools for cleaning with warm soapy water and a bottle brush; rinse and air-dry before refilling.
